The botanical garden is situated 18km east of Abidjan. It was created during the colonial period and from 1904 to 1905 it was the residence of governor Angoulvant. The building turned into a boarding for the mixed in 1934 after the transfer of the capital Abidjan, then it became Boys orphanage in 1972.The garden offers happiness to nature lovers; it is used for various reasons such as relaxation site, field of scientific research, education centre and a meeting place.
